IPG Volunteering Day

by

Our intrepid band of commercial real estate pros took to the garden last week.  Through Wasatch Community Gardens, we worked for a half a day downtown Salt Lake City at the homeless women’s garden.  We had an absolutely great time spreading mulch, taking a tai chi, yoga break, and then spreading even more mulch.  We were grateful for the opportunity to serve and be involved with such an excellent and meaningful charity for our community.  We highly recommend you check it out. You just gotta laugh!

by

Question, how many times did you laugh yesterday?  If you are like most adults you may have laughed 8 times all day. Conversely young children laugh on average about 300 times a day. Problem?  I think so.  We gotta laugh more!  I am going to encourage you to laugh at least 50 times a day.  I guarantee it will make you feel better now and science is showing that it appears to have long term health benefits to enjoy a regular regimen of deep belly laughing. So laugh it up…here’s a one liner to share with your co-workers:

Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool. I gave him a glass of water.

SIOR Night of the Lions a ROARING Success!

by

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) sponsored an exciting event on Thursday, April 13 which included a cocktail hour at the new 111 Main Tower downtown and a viewing of "The Lion King" play at the new Broadway Eccles Theater.

The event was hosted by the office of Jeremy Jensen, president of the Utah Chapter of SIOR and generously sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In addition to SIORs, numerous real estate stakeholders in the community were in attendance including economic development directors, developers, and members from EDCUtah.

Spring has Sprung... Get Ready for Patio Dining!

by

With warm weather and sunny skies fast approaching, restaurant patios are looking increasingly more inviting! Here are some of my favorite outdoor eatery spots for the new season:

Caffe Molise (pictured above): Art-filled trattoria serving Northern Italian fare & unique wines; I'd recommend the Gnocchi di Patate

Avenues Proper: Craft brewery serving elevated pub fare and brunch; try the Chicken and Waffles

Cafe Niche: American bistro specializing in area-sourced fare; the Nice breakfast is my favorite way to start a day

The Copper Onion: Locally sourced New American fare, cocktails, and brunch; you can't go wrong with the Ballard Farm Griddled Pork Chop

Stoneground Kitchen: Rustic Italian eatery serving pastas & thin-crust pizzas; the Goat Cheese Caramelle is delightful

Bon appetit!!!

Jeremy Jensen wins BIG!

We share our pride with the Jensen family in announcing that for the second year in a row IPG has had the CCIM  award for Industrial Broker of the Year bestowed upon one of our agents.  Jeremy Jensen, CCIM, SIOR, took home the prize not only for his huge book of business this last year, but also for his contributions to the real estate community and the charitable activities he participates in. Way to go Mr. Jensen!
